Florida may not have mountain passes or endless twisties, but riding here has a character all its own. You can cruise beside the ocean, disappear beneath canopies of moss-covered oaks, ride through small towns and rural backroads, or spend an afternoon exploring roads that hug the water.
One of the biggest advantages is the riding season. While motorcycles are tucked away for winter in much of the country, Florida riders can stay on the road year-round. Winter brings some of our best riding weather, along with riders escaping colder states for events, vacations, and motorcycle trips.
Florida is also home to a huge motorcycle community and some of the country's best-known motorcycle events. But you don't need a major rally to find somewhere worth riding. Sometimes the best Florida rides are the quieter ones: a shaded two-lane road, a waterfront stop, a small town you've never visited, or a destination you discovered simply because you decided to take the long way.
As Florida riders ourselves, we'll be the first to admit that finding a great motorcycle road here can take a little more effort. But that's part of what makes discovering one so rewarding. This guide is here to help you find those roads, events, communities, businesses, and rider resources so you can spend less time searching and more time riding.
