Turns out Giving Tuesday on Facebook ™ is not a Facebook™ only fundraising event where people chose a fundraiser to fundraise for.

There happens to be an official Giving Tuesday or GivingTuesday (they combine the two words together) website https://www.givingtuesday.org/  and according to the website it is a global movement that promotes generosity and community support. You’ll see many use the hashtag #GivingTuesday on many social media sites. If you are a biker and want to give back to the biker community, we show you how you can do this. What does Giving Tuesday on Facebook mean for us bikers?

Well, we are excited that we can partake in this Giving Tuesday movement. Support Bikers Inc. is a non-profit registered with Facebook™. You can create a fundraiser and choose Support Bikers Inc. This fundraiser DOES work because in 2023 we did get a check from Facebook™ through their partnership with PayPal™. It’s 2024 now and we have many who have decided to jump in and help us this year. Our plan will be to do it every year.

How does the funds we raise go towards bikers?

As of today, December 3, 2024, the funds go into the Support Bikers National Wrecked Rider Fund that is used to distribute to bikers injured from an accident.

To create a Giving Tuesday fundraiser for bikers on Facebook™, you can:

1. Go to the fundraisers option in the menu, bar or search for “fundraiser” in the app
2. Click raise money or create a fundraiser
3. Select a nonprofit to raise money for (Support Bikers Inc)
4. Set a fundraising amount and ending date
5. Name your fundraiser and explain why you are raising money
6. Add a picture
7. Click create
