Help Recovery Through Restoration start conversations about Mental Health Recovery in our Motorcycle Community.
I’m a Certified Peer Support Specialist, a United States Marine Corps Vet(95-99) and have been on two wheels since age 9
I also live with Mental Health Challenges. (ie. TBI, Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Abuse, Addiction
I want to make it as normal to visit a Brother and help to maintain a bike as it is to Visit a Brother to maintain Mental Health.
Our plan, take a 1980 Harley-Davidson XLH1000 Sportster basket-case (RE-1A), remove the broken and worn-out parts, the aftermarket accessories that were added or modified in previous years that no longer improve performance or functionality and return the motorcycle to a solid functional and reliable vehicle.
Documented in a video series with visits, talks and advice from Bikers, Counselors, Mechanics, Therapists and Others as we compare the work we are doing on RE-1A to the work a Veteran does on their Mental Health Recovery Journey.
We are a Recognized Non-profit Corporation, registered with the State of South Dakota, maintain a Federal EIN and Federal 501C3 certification.
